Overview

The City of Bellmead Planning and Zoning Commission was created by Ordinance 57-002 in May 1957; amended by Ordinance 2012-001, on February 14, 2012.

• Members: 6 Members
• Board Term: Two Years
• Ordinance: Chapter 15. Article II. - Code of Ordinances
• Qualifications: Resident of the City of Bellmead, taxpayer, qualified voter of the City.

Duties & Powers

• The planning and zoning commission shall make and recommend for adoption a master plan as a whole or in parts, for the future development and redevelopment of the city
• Prepare a comprehensive plan and ordinance for zoning/rezoning the city
• Perform other duties as may be prescribed by ordinance or state law.
